About me and my practice

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor & Psychotherapist based in Brighton (UK). I have been offering therapy (Groups/ Individuals/ Relationships) since 2009 & my clinical hours are now over 5000. I have specialist training in order to offer you safe, attuned, confidential therapy online. I am continually delighted by our human ability to face our challenges & begin to not just survive but thrive.

I spent 10+ years working in IT Consultancy before I trained to be a therapist

I have a trauma-informed perspective. My approach considers the latest neuroscience alongside attachment theory

I truly believe that we are all doing our best & that sometimes our survival strategies stop being so helpful & that can be one of the times that we find ourselves in the therapy room

I am never sitting across from my clients thinking Ive got all my stuff sorted why havent you?I believe that life can be a struggle for all of us, at different times, for a wide variety of reasonsme included

I believe there is value in coming to therapy when we are not struggling but simply might want more out of life

I really, really love what I do

I feel privileged to be trusted with peoples explorations & I have an unquenchable thirst to understand what makes us all tick

Experience

My training and practice has equipped me to support individuals through a diverse array of life experiences, including:

- Surviving and healing from any form of abuse.

- Managing unexplained or understood anger, providing a space for processing.

- Dealing with anxiety and panic attacks, helping you regain control.

- Coping with the loss of a loved one as well as complex grief when someone dies who you have had a complicated relationship with.

- Addressing feelings of low mood or depression.

- Exploring and understanding your own identity.

- Managing shame and stress or recovering from traumatic events

- Overcoming loneliness or feelings of being stuck.

- Navigating challenges in various types of relationships, be it romantic, sexual, friendships, or family dynamics

I work in an LGBTQIA+ Affirmative way & I welcome people from all lifestyle choices & sexual orientations. I am continually informing myself about the breadth of cultural backgrounds & experiences that come together to make each one of us unique Id always hope to be able to meet you fully regardless of the differences between us.
